Who Has Tooth Decay?

According to a 7/2/2013  Wall Street Journal article,  teeth decay is very common in the United States.  As our knowledge base increases over the years of how to provide great dental care for our teeth, the numbers of people in the United States with tooth decay is so much greater than one would expect.  Drs. Ogle, Schmitz,  Hart, and their entire dental team have a goal to provide great dental care for a lifetime and also to educate everyone on the proper techniques to prevent decay in their teeth.  The statistics that are based in the United States include 1.)  25% of children 2-5 years old have tooth decay  2.) 50% of kids 12-15 years old have tooth decay 3.) 67% of kids 12-19 years old from lower income families have tooth decay 4.) 4-12 % of adults have advanced gum disease which creates decay in teeth 5.)25% of adults older than 65 have lost all of their teeth.  Family Dentistry wants these statistics to decrease and by providing great dental care along with instruction on proper hygiene techniques to protect your teeth and gums this can occur for you and your family.
