Happy Dental Health Month!

Family Dentistry would like to wish all a Happy Dental Month!  This is the time that we visit First Grade Classrooms to educate the boys and girls on the importance of proper dental hygiene for their teeth.  Not only is brushing and flossing extremely important in taking care of our teeth- our nutrition is extremely important as well.  Our goal in educating the young children is to set examples for them to understand the importance of how to take care of their teeth.  As we share, teeth should last a lifetime and will only be able to if the teeth have proper dental care from a very young age.  Parents should bring their children to the dentist starting at age 2 years old.   Some dentists recommend before age 2 if any issues with their children’s teeth.   Drs. Ogle, Schmitz, Hart, and Fickas recommend children have proper dental oral care via visiting the dentist and having parents train their children with proper dental hygiene.
