The symptoms to look out for include:

– A soft spot on your tooth enamel. Now, this will be hard for you to detect because you’ll need a special tool, but your dentist will usually identify the spot during your dental appointment. In addition to the soft spot, you might also see a hole in your tooth enamel.

– A toothache. It’s typical to have a toothache for several days when you have a cavity. A toothache will be constant and anything you do won’t relieve it, at least for too long. It might even make it tough to relax or sleep.

– Tooth sensitivity. You might experience tooth pain and sensitivity when you consume hot or cold foods and drinks or when you breathe in cold air.
