Who Can Receive Dental Implants?

Dental Implants is a wonderful option for those missing a tooth or teeth.  Family Dentistry would like to share who is eligible for receiving dental implants.  Anyone who is healthy that can undergo a routine dental extractions or oral surgery would be considered for a dental implant. A patient would need to have healthy gums and enough bone in jaw to maintain the implant.  Also, good oral hygiene and regular appointments with hygienist and our dentists will be required to maintain the implant.  Patients who are heavy smokers, suffer from heart disease, diabetes, uncontrolled diseases, or patients who have received radiation therapy to head and neck must be evaluated on an individual basis by the dentist.  Implants are a wonderful option to maintain your teeth so communication with Drs.
