that help fight cavities for your teeth! Cavities, also called dental caries or tooth decay, is when the tooth enamel has had destruction.  The 7 foods that one should enjoy or share with their family include:
1. Apples– Crunching apples help saliva clean the teeth and the flavonoids in apples slow down bacterial growth.
2. Cheese– Preventing the loss of minerals in teeth and absorbing protein in the body can occur by eating cheese. Eating cheese can also help with the calcium re-building of enamel on the teeth.
3. Cocoa– Cocoa has polyphenols that reduce the formation of acid on the teeth and therefore, reduce cavities.
4. Cranberries-Cranberries have flavonoids that contain antimicrobial effects in which decreases cavity promoting bacteria in the mouth.
5. Peanuts-Scientists have found that foods that require more chewing can decrease plaque build-up.
6. Black Tea– Black tea leaves contain fluoride which helps strengthen the teeth as well as the antibacterial flavanols.  Remember to not add sugar to your tea.
7. Yogurt-Yogurt contains calcium and phosphorus which again helps to remineralize teeth. Yogurt also decreases the pH level in the mouth by decreasing the acid.
